Everyone knows trash in the river is not good for the environment or the inhabitants of the river.  Each year groups pick a section to paddle and remove the trash.  Over the years Keep Haralson Beautiful has sponsored some of these events and help supply the bags, pickers and whatever is needed to keep the river clean.

This year KHB will be cleaning the Broad Street Launch site (1085 Broad St., Tallapoosa).  The nearby parking lot has debris in the tree lined area.  The launch itself needs the river silt removed from the steps.  Volunteers are appreciated.  Check the Calendar of Events for date and time.

RIVER CLEANUP PLEDGE

Every year, National River Cleanup® volunteers pull tons of trash out of our rivers. Let’s stop some of that trash from getting in the river in the first place.
